Three people, including a father-son duo, were killed early Saturday in fresh violence in India’s northeastern state of Manipur, local media reports said.
The killings took place in Kwakta of Bishnupur district, about 50 km south of Imphal, the capital city of Manipur.
The act of gunmen breaching the buffer zone manned by paramilitary troopers has caused great concern, and the incident has triggered fresh tensions between Meitei and Kuki communities.
