India’s retail inflation rose to 7.44 percent in July, the government data showed Monday.
According to the data released by the federal ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MoSPI), the inflation based on Consumer Price Index (CPI) in July is 7.44 percent. In June, the CPI was 4.87 percent.
The food inflation increased to 11.51 percent in July from 4.55 percent in June, the data showed.
